National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) was inaugurated in Fustat area of Old Cairo on 3 April, in conjunction with the “Pharaohs’ Golden Parade,” by which 22 royal mummies were transported from Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to NMEC.
On the following day, 4 April, the museum opened its door to the public.
